The Teachers Union of Serbia has announced a warning strike for later Wednesday. The Judiciary Employees Union will also hold a protest this morning. Schools and courts on strike The judiciary employees have scheduled their demonstration for 8 a.m. in Nikola Pasic Square in Belgrade. They demand a 100 percent salary increase for expert assistants, bailiffs, clerks, typists, cleaners and other "non-officiating staff." The teachers will not hold the first hour of their morning shift, and the final hour of their afternoon shift. However, teachers are not the only public sector employees unhappy with their financial standing. However, the state budget is already strained with excessive public spending, rendering any further increase in public employees' salaries unlikely.
