BELGRADE Plainclothes police officers beat up weekly NIN technical editor Vladimir Piacun after a fight over traffic, daily Blic writes. The daily claims that the police officers beat up and cuffed 39-year-old Piacun and then threatened him with a gun after an argument about traffic regulations in front of the Ringier Axel Springer headquarters in Belgrade, Tanjug has learnt. The daily quoted several witness who said that the policemen had stopped their Toyota in front of Piacun’s motorbike, gotten out of the car and started hitting him without identifying themselves and checking his ID. “They tackled him on the ground and one of them handcuffed him. They were hitting him while he was lying on his stomach and one of them pulled out his gun for no reason.
