Members of the extremist Nasi movement have torched Bosnia-Herzegovina flag in protest against holding of Bosnian musician Dino Merlin’s concert in Belgrade. Police have said they have no information about the incident. Far-right movement burns Bosnian flag The flag was burned next to a wall with Hague indictee Ratko Mladic’s graffiti portrait and Bosnian media claim that the incident happened in Novi Sad. The Nasi movement has stated that the flag was torched in protest because, as they say, Merlin has been spreading hatred against Serbs for the past 20 years. Merlin will hold concerts on November 25 and 26 in Belgrade Arena. The far-right movement claims that the singer was actively involved in the Islamic propaganda against the Serbs and promotion of Muslim paramilitary units during the war in Bosnia. According to them, “he even wrote a song in honor of war criminal Alija Izetbegovic”. The movement stressed that they had decided to burn the Bosnian flag next to Mladic’s graffiti portrait in order to point out that heroes who had been defending their people from the Islamic fanatics were being persecuted, arrested and extradited to the Hague Tribunal in Serbia while those who promoted the crimes, like Merlin, organized concerts and got media attention. The Naši movement has stated that the flag was torched in protest because, as they say, Merlin has been spreading hatred against Serbs for the past 20 years.
