“Serbia will request extradition of suspects from Brazil”
Serbia's Justice Minister Snežana Malović has confirmed that Goran Nešić and Dejan Stojanović were among the arrested in police operation Niva in Brazil.

Serbia's Justice Minister Snezana Malovic has confirmed that Goran Nesic and Dejan Stojanovic were among the arrested in police operation Niva in Brazil. She specified that Serbia would seek their extradition, after criminal proceedings against them are completed in Brazil. “Serbia will request extradition of suspects from Brazil” The minister noted that Nesic was wanted in Serbia to serve an eight-year sentence for drug smuggling. Stojanovic's extradition will be sought in order to complete the criminal proceedings started on charges of robbery. She noted that the Justice Ministry had yet to be officially notified of the arrest of other Serbian citizens in Brazil, but expected to receive more information soon. The Brazilian federal police announced that 16 members of a criminal organization were arrested, eight of whom are Serbian citizens, the Associated Press reported. Snezana Malovic (Tanjug, file)
