The Higher Prosecution in Belgrade has filed a request to launch a financial investigation against folk star Svetlana Raznatovic and her closest family. The goal of the investigation is to determine what exactly Raznatovic owns and whether the property was obtained legally or not. Folk star’s financial records probed If the financial investigation determines that her assets are disproportional to her incomes, a request for temporary seizure of her property will be filed and the Higher Court will rule on it. Property of Lidija Ocokoljic, Raznatovic’s sister, and her husband Predrag Ocokoljic will also be looked into. The sisters are accused of abuse of office regarding player transfers from FC Obilic. According to media, the most suspicious is Raznatovic’s villa in Cyprus and it is suspected that she bought it from the money she illegally obtained from FC Obilic players’ disputable transfers. The house at 8 Ljutice Bogdana Street in Belgrade she moved in after marrying Zeljko Raznatovic aka Arkan will also be probed. Police will also look into several cars and bank accounts in the country and abroad and it is possible that property of the folk singer’s parents will also be checked. Despite the fact that the indictment has been raised, Raznatovic is free to travel since she is allowed to leave her place of residence, the Higher Court said. According to the Higher Court spokeswoman, Raznatovic’s trial will not begin before summer. Svetlana Raznatovic (Tanjug, file)
