I could not care less for Ceca. Don't like her music or her iconic image and influence on Serbian music. However what she did dwarfs compared to the albanian mafia gotfather Thaci and his regime. Serbian politicians are so inendaded in becoming part of EU, that they will do anything to apease German pupet masters. Wake up Serbia, prosecute Thaci,Ceku and others guilty of crimes against humanity.

Zoran if the allegations are true then far from being an easy target Ceca has been a very difficult target.

Anybody in a similar position without political protection she had would have been charged and put behind bars years ago.

Why should she be above the law just because she's a famous singer and the husband of the former boss of the Belgrade mafia?

Like I said I feel a slight amount of pity because she was only continuing practice of what felt normal to her, something she probably would not have done had she not married into the underworld. But if she's guilty she has to pay.bg

Zoran I'm puzzled by your comment about this being one mafia getting rid of the competition.

I agree that money goes missing each year from the state budget.

The real story here is the way that politicians protect certain lobbies / supporters engaged in criminality. Arkan was a mafia boss in the 90's, making money through murder, extortion, illegal football tranfers, money laundering etc etc. He had political patrons and was protected.

Ceca had political support too after DOS came to power, most recently from Dragan Markovic - Palma's party.

So its the old story about some people being above the law because of political connections.

Its also the old story of inertia through habit. I have no doubt that Ceca would not be involved in any illegal activity had she not married a crook. But equally I'm almost certain that once he passed she was advised to keep some of his working practices (and weapons) in place - as they were money spinners.

Nevertheless, crime is crime and if she has done people or the state (taxpayers) out of millions of euros she has to pay for it.

I wonder if the government is going to investigate the billions that go missing from the state budget each year? Sounds like one mafia against the other - getting rid of competition.
