Five drug trafficking suspects are being investigated and they have been remanded in custody for up to 30 days, officials said. Dejan Dakic, Milos Pandrc, Radan Adamovic, Dragan Labudovic and Milos Kragovic, who were arrested two days ago, are being held on suspicion that they participated in an attempt to smuggle 2,200 kilograms of cocaine. Cocaine traffickers investigated The drugs were seized in Uruguay last week, in an international raid that Serbia's intelligence agency BIA took part in. On October 17, a Belgrade court launched an investigation against three other suspects arrested earlier, identified as Zeljko Vujanovic, Nikola Pavlovic and Marko Bulatovic. If indicted and found guilty, the suspects could each be facing a minimum of ten years in jail.

The drugs were seized in Uruguay last week, in an international raid that Serbia's intelligence agency BIA took part in.

On October 17, a Belgrade court launched an investigation against three other suspects arrested earlier, identified as Željko Vujanović, Nikola Pavlović and Marko Bulatović.

If indicted and found guilty, the suspects could each be facing a minimum of ten years in jail.
