Serb deacon assaulted in Kosovo

The SPC Rasko-Prizrenska Eparchy has announced that an ethnic Kosovo Albanian had attacked Deacon Steva Mitric on Sunday. Mitric was on his way from Kosovska Mitrovica to Velika Hoca to visit family, the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) eparchy's release explained. Serb deacon assaulted in Kosovo "At around 13:00 CET, he came across a wedding procession, parked by the side of the road, in the village of Orlate. One of them blocked his way with his car, and then questioned Mitric about who he was and why he was passing through there, trying to pull him out of the car," the statement said. It adds that Mitric refused to leave the vehicle, and that the attacker then kicked it with his feet, calling on other members of the procession in Serbian to join him. The statement adds that the deacon managed to escape without injury.
