An SDP van, used to promote Boris Tadic's presidential bid, was attacked this morning. The incident happened in downtown Novi Pazar, when all the windows on the vehicle were smashed, and campaign posters torn and trampled on. Sandzak: Campaign van comes under attack The Sandzak Democratic Party (SDP) is led by Rasim Ljajic, who holds a number of state offices, including that of labor minister in the Kostunica cabinet. Now one of his party activists, Senko Hadzikic, who drove the van, says the incident is aimed at intimidating local voters who support Tadic. "I think this is an attack on democracy, on the person of Boris Tadic, and on Novi Pazar's democratic forces." "Someone wishes to in this way destabilize the situation in Novi Pazar and force voters not to turn out," Hadzikic said. Agency reports do not indicate whether the police have reacted after the incident.
