A police officer, attacked by Red Star fans during a match 2 weeks ago, has been discharged from hospital. Nebojsa Trajkovic is still coming to specialists for check-ups, Director of the Plastic Surgery and Burns Clinic at the Military Medical Institute (VMA) Marjan Novakovic told Tanjug. Policeman attacked by Red Star hooligans returns home Trajkovic sustained severe injuries in the attack – fractured ribs and skull, as well as first and second-degree burns – during a match between Red Star and Hajduk Kula on December 2. Hooligans attacked him and beat him with broken seats and firecrackers, and, at one point, the police officer fired a warning shot into the air. An investigation against a number of people was launched following the attack, and the culprits were remanded in custody for 30 days.
