A freelance journalist in Kosovo who has been a longtime reporter for the Voice of America says she was assaulted. Vesna Bojicic told VOA that she will continue reporting on events in Kosovo "until the last day, regardless of what Serbs or ethnic Albanians think." Bojicic says a man dressed in camouflage, military-style boots, and a ski mask pushed his way into her apartment and started beating her, but the VOA does not give any details as to the date or location. The VOA report is also unclear on whether the incident was reported to the police and what action they undertook in the matter. But a letter sent to the media Wednesday signed by Bojicic herself describes "a tall man in camouflage fatigues," who spoke " very good Serbian, which doesn't have to mean anything, but can tell a lot," as her assailant. Bojicic also said that the attacker addressed her "in most offensive terms," accusing her of "bias in favor of Albanians." Also according to her, the incident took place in her home in Caglavica, on October 16.
