SAM names Misa Lukic manager of year

Lukic is one of the most prominent experts within the area of marketing and communications industry in Serbia and Southeastern Europe.

He was appointed to this position, at which he is leading 30 countries which are majority- or minority-owned by the Publicis Group after a transformation within the Group, which in December 2015 founded Publicis One, a global communications agency.

Publicis One is an innovative business model that unifies all agency brands (Leo Burnett, Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi, Starcom, Zenith, Mediavest and Optimedia…) and the services of Publicis Group under a single roof and single leadership in each country.

At the recent Grand Slam Award ceremony organized by SuperStar, Misa Lukic was named ”2016 Marketing Personality in Serbia” for outstanding contribution to development and promotion of Serbia and advertising industry.

By April 2016, when he assigned his share to the Publicis Group which then became the 100% owner, he was at the position of Managing Board Chairman at Publicis Group Serbia, which represents three world-renowned communications agencies: Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi and Publicis.

In his rich business career which spans more than twenty five years and includes international and regional experience, he successfully managed five marketing agencies in four Southeastern Europe and Middle East countries.

He proved his exceptional business and creative talent by establishing Leo Burnett, one of the most successful agencies in Serbia, which was proclaimed as “The best agency in Adriatic Region” at the Golden Drum festival and by reactivating Saatchi & Saatchi Belgrade during the same year, which subsequently became one of the most-awarded agencies in Serbia by the number and significance of its awards at the most prestigious international festivals (Cannes Lions, Eurobest, Epica, New York festival, Golden Drum, EACA, Clio…).

Thanks to the results he achieved, Misa Lukic is the youngest winner of the “Lifetime Achievement Award” of the oldest professional association – The Serbian Market Communications Association (UEPS).

In 2010 he was named the Marketing Personality of the Year, after which he was given the national “Captain Misa Anastasijević” award, in the category “Leader of creative thinking in Serbia for 2012” and won the “PRO.PR award for contribution to development of public relations in Southeastern Europe” (2013).

He was the winner of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce management and leadership award for 2014 and the “Danube Flower” award for contribution to development of creative industry in Danube countries awarded by the Central European Development Forum and Media Invent.

He was a lecturer at the European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA), Vienna, 2011.

Until 2014, he was a long-standing lecturer at the specialist studies course “Advertisement and Media” at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Belgrade University.

He is a Managing Board member in the AmCham Serbia, and vice-chairman of the Managing Board in the Serbian Association of Managers (SAM)

He has the title of Certified Professional Coach, Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) London.

Since 2015, Misa Lukic has the title of Ambassador of Knowledge (Life Learning Academia).

He is a bearer of the Battle for the Babies medal, and participant in dozens of humanitarian actions.
