PM meets with Foreign Investors Council

The officials "addressed the topics relating to possible improvements in Serbia's business climate, more efficient implementation of the existing legal arrangements, and involvement of major companies, FIC members, in the ongoing privatization process."

The talks also dealt with concrete problems facing foreign investors, primarily in the field of finance, agriculture and inspection oversight.

The officials "underlined the need for coordinated efforts in resolving the problems, but also improving legal arrangements with a view to creating a better business climate in Serbia, through a new set of bills such as the bill on conversion, bill on foreign exchange operations, bill on inspection and others."

"Both sides pointed to the need for changing the legislation in the field of tax administration so as to secure more efficient business operations of foreign investors," said the government statement.

Vucic and FCI representatives "concluded that the meeting between representatives of the FCI and all relevant ministries should be held once a month to ensure that the agreements reached so far are successfully implemented."
