Minister of Economy Nebojsa Ciric says the Italian company Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche "will make investments in phases amounting to around EUR 500mn". Danieli Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer - Engineering and Plantmaking Franco Alzetta said that the memorandum, which was signed Thursday after nine months of talks, should be the basis for further cooperation, and thanked employees in the Serbian state administration and the municipality of Sabac (western Serbia) for showing understanding for the company's needs. He underlined that Danieli and the government have reached an agreement which could be the basis for future steps, adding that the company has decided to invest in Serbia for its culture, energetic people and willingness to work.
