Serbian dinar loses value against euro

The Serbian dinar (RSD) weakened against the euro (EUR) by 19 paras on Friday, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced. The official middle exchange rate is now at at RSD 99.2973 for one euro. The dinar reached its highest level against the euro on May 5, when the exchange rate was RSD 99.1051 per euro, and the lowest on January 6, with the exchange rate at RSD 106.4947. Since the beginning of 2011, the central bank intervened in the interbank foreign exchange market only once by purchasing EUR 5 million in order to ease excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate.

The dinar reached its highest level against the euro on May 5, when the exchange rate was RSD 99.1051 per euro, and the lowest on January 6, with the exchange rate at RSD 106.4947.

Since the beginning of 2011, the central bank intervened in the interbank foreign exchange market only once by purchasing EUR 5 million in order to ease excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate.
