Serbian President Boris Tadic has met in Turin with Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne, who confirmed that Fiat's investments in Serbia are developing as planned. “Fiat will begin making a new car model in Serbia by the end of the year, which should provide work for 2,500 people,” Marchionne told the Serbian president. He also met with Marchionne then, who promised to sign the contract by the end of 2009 and invest EUR 100mn in Zastava and a new production line.
