Telekom starting price set at EUR 1.4bn

The Serbian government decided on Thursday to set the minimum starting price for the sale of its 51 percent stake in Telekom Srbia at EUR 1.4bn. The government tasked the Finance Ministry and the working group for conducting the tender for the sale of state-owned telecommunications company shares with informing all participants in the tender for the privatization of the Serbian company about the initial price. The tender for the sale of Telekom Srbija tender was announced on February 20 this year, and the deadline for submitting binding bids is February 21, 2011.
