Chamber of Commerce President Milos Bugarin said that it will be a difficult fall season economically for Serbian citizens. He said that food products and energy prices are expected to increase this season. CoC President: Difficult season ahead Bugarin added that as far as milk is concerned, there is not enough understanding between the producers, processors and consumers, adding that the state is a mediator and regulator of relations in this chain. The increase in the price of agricultural and food products was expected because such a trend is dictated by the market law and the decrease in the harvest of wheat and sunflowers, he said. “We have the newest increases in the price of flour because the wheat harvest was a lot smaller than we planned. The quality is a lot worse and therefore the price of flour jumped from RSD 13 to 28. The state is doing everything from product reserves to negotiations with bakers in order to keep the large increases in the price of bread at bay. There is also an announced increase in oil prices of RSD 30, so the price of oil will be RSD 145,” Bugarin said. Milos Bugarin (FoNet)
