Bids in a tender to choose an advisor for the sale of Telekom Srbija's state owned shares were opened today. There was a single bidder – the London-based Citigroup Global Markets, it has been announced. One bid in Telekom advisor tender The tender commission accepted the technical offer, while the validity of its financial part will be determined within the next two weeks. The consortium offered to charge 0.2 percent of the value of the Telekom stake to be sold. The tender was called on April 12, with investment banks that conducted at least one European, Middle East or CIS telecommunications transaction in the past three years eligible to take part. The required value of the transactions was EUR 500mn or higher. Telecommunications Minister Jasna Matic said earlier that the financial advisor must determine the optimal package of shares that will be offered for sale and propose a time frame related to the sales tender. The tender is expected in late summer or early fall, and the government previously decided to sell 40 percent of the shares it owns in the company.
