Serbia buys 10 new trains from Russia
Serbia's public company Serbian Railways signed on Wednesday a contract on the purchase of 10 new diesel trains from Russia's Metrovagonmash.

Serbia's public company Serbian Railways signed on Wednesday a contract on the purchase of 10 new diesel trains from Russia's Metrovagonmash. This is the first purchase of new trains for Serbian passenger transport in the last three decades. Serbia buys 10 new trains from Russia The contract worth CHF 34.38mn was signed in Belgrade, in the presence of Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandr Konuzin, by Director General of Serbian Railways Milovan Markovic and Vladimir Otseyev on behalf of Metrovagonmash. Markovic pointed out that Serbian Railways "will finally get new modern means of transport, which will be used to enhance the country's non-electrified railway transport, especially on the regional level".
