The total annual GDP of Serbia in 2009, obtained as the sum of four quarters, decreased by three percent when compared with 2008. This is according to a Statistical Office statement in Belgrade this Wednesday. GDP down 3 pct in 2009 The drop in the GDP was higher that in the first half of the year, whereas in the second it started to recover, the statement said. According to this, in the first quarter the drop amounted to 4.1 percent, in the second 4.2 percent, in the third 2.3, and in the fourth 1.6 percent.
