Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petković, said that the barricades in the north of Kosovo and Metohija mean freedom for Serbs and represent their peaceful resistance to "the lawlessness of Albin Kurti and his Great Albanian extremists whose only goal is ethnically pure Kosovo and Metohija".

Munsch said in an interview for Tanjug that KFOR is closely monitoring the situation in the north of Kosovo and Metohija and is ready to provide a safe environment and freedom of movement for all communities everywhere in Kosovo, in accordance with the mandate based on Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council.
He appealed to all parties to act constructively, in order to ensure safety and freedom of movement in Kosovo and Metohija.
