Trump, it's ready
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that the bilateral security guarantees agreement with the United States is essentially ready to be finalized at the highest level.
'It is important that Ukraine successfully coordinates the efforts of the European and American teams, and together we specifically discussed documents on recovery and economic development. Complex issues from the basic framework for ending the war were also considered, and the Ukrainian side presented possible options for finalizing this document,’ Zelensky wrote on his X social media account.
He expressed the expectation that the Russian and American sides will hold discussions, after which, he said, it will become clear whether Russia is ready to end the war.
“Additionally, we are informing our partners about the consequences of Russian strikes, which clearly do not indicate that Moscow is reconsidering its priorities. In this context, it is necessary for pressure on Russia to continue to increase at the same intensity as the work of our negotiating teams,” Zelensky stated.
He reiterated that security guarantees must be based on the ability of Ukraine’s partners to exert pressure on Russia.
