PM says Serbia needs "EUR 2 billion" foreign investment

"Last year we had EUR 1.7 billion of foreign direct investments, which is a good result and more than in 2014, but it is not sufficient. We need EUR 2 billion of foreign investments to have a sustainable system," he said.

The results of the fiscal consolidation have been good but there is still room for change by making the judiciary more efficient and continuing the fight against crime and corruption, Vucic said, adding that Serbia is making progress in this regard, as indicated by its leap from the 91st to the 59th position on the World Bank's Doing Business list.

The political situation in the region is not rosy, but EBRD support is required to make it so, he said.
