Decision on sacking of police director "in coming days"

The minister told RTS previously that a decision will be made by the end of the year to lay off between 1,300 and 1,400 Interior Ministry (MUP) employees - something that will "complete the rationalization process" - and that he will suggest to the government to dismiss Veljovic and allow him to retire

Stefanovic also said there are several candidates to succeed Veljovic, and that the appointment "will certainly be a decision for the government."
