The Serb Progressive Party (SNS) on Tuesday received a recommendation for a September vote on its membership in the European People's Party (EPP).

SNS receives recommendation for vote on its EPP membership

The working group also expressed high appreciation for the party's serious and responsible approach in dealing with current domestic and international challenges.

At the working group session, SNS International Secretary Jadranka Joksimovic presented the party's programme and work in the past period and the results achieved by the Serbian government, led by SNS leader Aleksandar Vucic.

The goal of the SNS and the Serbian government is Serbia's membership in the EU, and the SNS has been an engine and a guarantee of that process continuing, Joksimovic said.

The decision on the SNS membership will be taken by the EPP Political Assembly in September.
