RS President Milorad Dodik has sent a letter to the UN secretary-general presenting his accusations against the judicial institutions of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

In the letter, Dodik claims that the Prosecution of Bosnia-Herzegovina abused the criminal justice system to dismissed the director of the SIPA (State Investigation and Protection Agency)."Since that time until today, the new director of SIPA, authorized by the Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Prosecution of Bosnia-Herzegovina, has participated in provocative armed incursions into police stations and other institutions in the RS, as well as in politically motivated arrests and harassment of citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina," Dodik said.
He added that the Bosnia-Herzegovina Court and Prosecution are under enormous influence of Bosniak (Muslim) political leaders and, occasionally, of some officials from the international community.
Such abuse undermines the rule of law, public institutions, separation of powers and cooperation between governments, which is necessary to combat terrorism and other forms of crime, Dodik said in the letter.
This document repeated the entity's position on the need to reform judicial and prosecutorial institutions at the state level, reported the Fena agency, noting this was also the case with previous documents the RS sent the UN Security Council at the same time as the high international representative submitted his report on the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
It is also stated that the RS "strongly supports Bosnia-Herzegovina's membership in the EU - but holds that European integration should not be used as a pretext for centralizing powers contrary to the Constitution."
