Thaci announces session on KLA court for next week

Thaci met with PDK deputies in the assembly and discussed the agenda of a session to be held on Thursday, the Beta news agency reported, but told reporters that they also spoke about the special court.

Asked when a meeting of the assembly dedicated to this issue would be held, he said "next week," and added that the setting up of the court is "in the interest of Kosovo and the international community."

Thaci did not say whether the necessary number of votes has been secured to pass constitutional amendments that would allow a law needed to establish the court to be adopted.

According to the Beta agency, "meanwhile, the international community's pressure to form the court as soon as possible is increasing."
