The operation was carried out in several cities in Serbia, including Novi Pazar, southwestern Serbia, resulting in arrests of over twenty people suspected of involvement in financial fraud that incurred damages to the state budget.
Gendarmerie officers arrested owners of two import and export companies.
At a press conference today, Zukorlić accused Gendarmes of "torture against the citizens of Novi Pazar", warning that "if it continued, Bosniaks (Muslims) would have no other option but to organize themselves and confront it".
The mufti also denied reports that the police had searched his house but said that they "demonstrated use of force" in front of his house, which, he said, was "apparently aimed at sending a kind of a political message and making threats".
He also accused Labor Minister and Social Democratic Party of Serbia leader Rasim Ljajić of being "responsible for today’s police operation".
MUP told Tanjug earlier today that the police checked the documentation of a company owned by Smailović, and that accountancy services were provided to that company by another - owned by Zukorli's wife.
These guys must get a clear sign that if they don't consider Serbia as their homeland, they must leave the country.

than by the same argument all Serbs have to leave norhter Kosovo if they don't see themselves as Kosovars. Oh, I am sorry, I forgot, for Serbs these kind of things do not apply according the the national crowd here, and they can continue to do whatever they want, and u call it freedom fight. What a double standart, and it just shows what kind of hypocrites they are.

I totally agree with you all, if they do not like Serbia, they should leave. Same should happen with the serbs in Kosovo, if they do not like it to stay in Kosovo, the border is open to go.

The "Drama Queen" mufti at his best today - Serbian MUP hitting Islamic women in traditional Islamic dress in the head with their rifle butts - wow! Hope this self-proclaimed leader of "certain" Bosniaks, has proof tp back these allegations, especially against a fellow Bosniak, Rasim Ljaljic, who is probably the most trusted and level headed politician in all of Serbia.

As a Muslim from Bosnia I will tell you that these mufti's are some of the worst people around. They use religion and nationalisam to make a name for them selves and to get money. Politics and religion should NOT mix! As for Muslims from Sandzak, you will always be our brothers by religion but your country is not Bosnia. Your country is Serbia. Respect it and it will respect you.

Funny, what kind of Strict Muslims were the Bosniaks in Yugoslavia?
Hmm....... NOT Strict at all!
And now they are the biggest followers of the quran.
This is democracy so the gendarmerie should respect people if they chose to live according to Islamic teachings.
On the other hand after so many years of Ottoman occupation, should Serbia let Muslims Islamize Serbia?
The same things are going on in western Europe, if the Europeans want to become Saudi Arabia 2.0 it's fine, if they don't then they should send the Muslims out of Europe.
