The prosecutor’s office in Belgrade also stated on September 25 that they had issued a request to investigate Rodic, Vekomir Joksimovic and Snezana Jerinic for suspicion that they submitted false documents in order to receive a loan worth RSD 22mn from the bank. The prosecution also alleged that loan was never repaid, but this was not mentioned in the court request revealed today. Since the investigation is closed for the public there is no information about Rodic's possible statements regarding that issue. In mid-September, the First Municipal Prosecution in Belgrade filed its own request to the court to investigate Rodic. The prosecution claimed that Rodic, who publishes a number of dailies and magazines, including the high circulation tabloid Kurir, evaded paying sales and income taxes in the amount of over RSD 203mn.
