Rasim Ljajic says the consequences for the country will be tremendous unless the remaining two defendants are extradited to the Hague Tribunal. Speaking on Monday, the president of the National Council for Cooperation with the Hague added that the priorities of the government in the following year will be to extradite Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic. Ljajic: Hague arrests are priority Ljajic stated that this is a government priority, along with all the economic and social issues, since the solving of that problem would not only simplify Serbia's European integration, but also greatly stabilize the internal political scene. He told the public broadcaster RTS that while he could not make any promises, set deadlines, or claim the arrests would happen, he can "rightfully speak of the harmful consequences in case Mladic and Hadzic did not face the court". Ljajic pointed out that he "could not even imagine the possibility that this time next year we will be having the very same conversation about the Hague cooperation issue."
