Parliamentary Speaker Oliver Dulic says parliament could convene on February 14, provided all parties agree. President Boris Tadic would be sworn in as the new head of state at the session, after which discussions would begin on a request tabled by 144 MPs that the parliament adopt a position on both the potential arrival of an EU mission to Kosovo without a new United Nations (UN) Security Council resolution, and the signing of the EU deal. Dulic: Parliament could meet on February 14 In an interview published in today’s edition of daily Blic, Dulic said he would put this suggestion forward to party whips on Monday. The cabinet is due to meet the same day, the speaker said, while the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) is likely to have announced the final results of the presidential elections by that time too. "I have received a request signed by 144 MPs to call an emergency session and I am obliged to set a date for that session. I have called consultations for Monday." "The official session for the president's inauguration will be held first, and then we will open a debate on the proposed text.
