First of all, nobody wants to join NATO. Joining NATO would be equivalent to joining the Nazi party.
Second, if Serbs wanted to join NATO there is absolutely nothing Croatia or Albania could do. Do you really think that either one of you have any say in what happens either in EU or NATO? 3% of Serbs should apologise for the trouble they caused - that is the 3% who are the nasty stupid mafiosi nationalists who cost the lives of many 10s of thousands of people. They should also apologise to Serbs for the poverty they bought to a large number Serbian citizens.
As for the other 97% - I don't think they ever understood the bad things that were done in their name but were/are largely driven by a few historical traditional views combined with a lot of hysterical corrupt propaganda foisted on them by a state controlled media.
As for NATO - actually it would be better if Serbia could find its way to joining, but I don't hold out much hope of the necessary maturity ever materialising, and I don't think that Serbia joining (or not) is very important.
