Democratic Party (DS) leader Boris Tadic has stated that his party is a “national institution” that will never give up on free and prosperous Serbia. The DS leader said that the world was facing a collision of ideas and that many were wondering what would happen next and that it was therefore important for Serbia to create its own plan. "You should have a vision in politics, but also the fortune to be in power during times of happiness, when it is easy to realize ideas, and we have never been in power during a time of happiness. But, as Zoran Djindjic used to say, if things were different, we would not be here," Tadic stated. According to him, the DS will continue to win over intellectuals who will create Serbia’s future and help it find its place in the modern world. He added that the DS needed to stay dedicated to its ideals - social justice and honesty.
