If Serbia adopts a resolution on Srebrenica, Bosnia-Herzegovina will remain the only country in the region without one, says Radio Free Europe. This would happen although the genocide was committed on its own territory, the Prague-based radio commented. “Bosnia could be only country without Srebrenica resolution” In spite of the numerous suggestions, Bosnian parliament has not adopted a resolution on Srebrenica nor will it do so in the near future, first of all due to objections of the representatives of the Republic of Srpska (RS) who say that they will accept the resolution only in case it spoke about all the victims of the 1992-95 war in Bosnia. RS Prime Minister and leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats Milorad Dodik has said that he does not question the fact that there was genocide in Srebrenica, which was recognized by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), but pointed out that he only supports a resolution which would address all the crimes committed during the war. Director of Research and Documentation Centre in Sarajevo Mirsad Tokaca has underlined that Dodik is not the only one to obstruct the resolution, and added that there are other politicians, among whom there are Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslim), who oppose it as well. Tokaca pointed out that he thinks a resolution on the genocide has to be adopted because it represents a test of the country's readiness to deal with war criminals.
