PODGORICA Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic has said that his relationship with Serbian counterpart Tomislav Nikolic was "fair". He added that Nikolic "respects Montenegro's independence". Addressing the issue of organized crime, Vujanovic said that his country did not represent a safe harbor for criminals, and that it was "not good" that such appraisals were often said publicly. Asked whether he had requested "operational information on (Kosovo Albanian fugitive) Naser Kelmendi", the president said he spoke to Montenegrin Police Director Bozidar Vuksanovic, who in turn assured him that "once the arrest warrant has been issued, Kelmendi will be arrested, if found in Montenegro". "I don't see that anything has demonstrated that anyone will have a treatment that's any different," Vujanovic stated. As for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Montenegro, Vujanovic said that he was not on the electoral list submitted by his party, the DPS, "because this was prohibited by the Constitution".
