BELGRADE FM Ivan Mrkic says Serbia will not make "rash moves" with the approaching of the end of June and a decision on the starting date of its EU membership talks. “The problem seems to be that the Pristina authorities think that we will become nervous and start making rush moves as the end of June is approaching. Anyone who thinks like that is wrong,” Mrkic said in an interview for the Belgrade-based daily Danas. Serbia "won't make rash moves," says FM He expects that the agreement on Belgrade-Pristina liaison officers will be concluded next month, and that a sui generis mechanism will be launched to help speed up the communication with the Pristina authorities. Mrkic expressed belief that the outcome of the talks with Pristina on the implementation of the Brussels agreement will be successful, adding that Belgrade will do all to make the talks fruitful. The foreign minister believes that north Kosovo Serbs see it all much clearer following Sunday's talks with First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, adding that decisions will be made much easier on the crucial interests of all, particularly Serbs in Kosovo. “The Serbian people was always undefeated when it stood united, and I believe that this will be the case this time as well,” Mrkic underlined. He thinks that it is realistic that Serbia will get a starting date for the EU accession talks by the end of June. “It is important that all who are monitoring our efforts to make the implementation of the agreement with Pristina possible can see our good will and very responsible behavior,” Mrkic said.
