Ruecker: Timely solution for Kosovo

“As a rule, I don’t comment on questions related to the future status, but I think that anyone who analyzes Contact Group principles knows that the solution cannot entail Kosovo’s partition, unification with neighboring states, or a return to the pre-1999 status”.

“I believe everyone can draw their own conclusions from that”, the UN chief Kosovo administrator said.

“There is a growing opinion that even after Kosovo’s status has been solved, the need will remain for the international civilian and military presence”, Ruecker  added.
