Aleksandar Vučić has attended the promotion of the Master Plan for the City on the Water project held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, over the weekend.

During the presentation, officials released that four biggest world companies filed eight propositions for the Belgrade Tower, four of which made it through to the shortlist, while only two offers for the shopping mall made it through to shortlist.

After the meeting, Vučić, Serbia's outgoing deputy PM and SNS party leader, told reporters that companies and architects from Belgrade would be included in the project and that 20,000 people would be given jobs.

“Belgrade will become a regional center. We will be a country which attracts the biggest number of tourists and investors in the region,” Vučić said.

Noting that attracting foreign investments calls for political and economic stability, Vučić said that these conditions in Serbia have been fulfilled.

The total area of including the housing and commercial area will be 1,850,000 square metrers.

One of the most important facilities, the Belgrade Belgrade, will be completed by 2017, project author Mohammed Alabar stated.

At the presentation in Belgrade, Vučić said that the works will begin in May already and the entire work should be completed by 2019.

On this occasion, Vučić noted that investors from UAE will invest USD 3 billion in the project and that they will share the profit from real estate sale in the area afterwards.

Vučić arrived to the presentation of City on the Water project from Abu Dhabi where he will discuss UAE loan to Serbia with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
