Sporadic clashes continued on Tuesday, and at least one air strike was carried out on the Old Town.Smoke clouds were seen over the Old City after air strikes, IS bombs fell near the positions of the Iraqi army, and strong burst of gunfire were also heard, AP reported.
The attacks indicate that militants still pose a threat to Iraq's second largest city, even after the announcement that the Iraqi army had completely freed Mosul from the jihadis.
And while the Iraqi prime minister and the soldiers in Mosul celebrated the liberation of the city, the civilians living there are still hardly celebrating.
