Deutsche Welle reports that Daniele De Rossi scored in the 63rd minute, while Paraguay's goal came near the end of the first half, with Antolin Alcaraz scoring. Nearly four years ago, Italy celebrated its fourth World Cup title with a penalty shootout victory over France. For this year's World Cup, coach Marcello Lippi has selected nine players from the 2006 team, giving the Italians one of the oldest teams in the tournament.
