Djokovic first to earn spot in London season-ender

The Serb qualified for the semifinals at the French Open, sealed his spot in the London championships, after crushing Rafael Nadal on Wednesday.

28-year-old Djokovic is on track to become the eighth man in history to lift the trophy at all four majors and only needs two more wins in Paris to do that.

He first needs to beat Britain’s Andy Murray in the semifinals and either Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka or Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of the other semifinal match in the final.

Djokovic won his first year-end championship in Shanghai in 2008 and claimed a hat-trick in London after Roger Federer’s withdrawal from the final last year.

The season-ender will take place on November 15-22.
