One person died today while another was seriously injured in a traffic accident near the administrative checkpoint of Merdare.

One person died today while another was seriously injured in a traffic accident near the administrative checkpoint of Merdare. The checkpoint is situated on the administrative line between Kosovo and central Serbia. One dead in administrative checkpoint crash Kosovo police, KPS, spokesman Arber Beka confirmed the news. He explained that the crash happened early on Monday, and that it involved two vehicles traveling on the Pristina-Podujevo road. The victims are “of Serb ethnicity”, this KPS member said. The vehicles involved were identified as a Vranje-license plates Opel and a minibus with Pristina plates, carrying passengers on their way from Gracanica to Nis. The cause of the accident remains unknown at this time.

The vehicles involved were identified as a Vranje-license plates Opel and a minibus with Priština plates, carrying passengers on their way from Gračanica to Niš.

The cause of the accident remains unknown at this time.
