Four people are dead, while one is injured in Nis this morning, after a car hit a tree. The accident happened at around 04:00 CET Saturday. Four dead as car hits tree Five ambulances and three firefighter crews worked for over an hour trying to pull the five passengers out of the car, reports from this southern Serbian town said. Doctors at the scene described the victims as "young people". The car is believed to have traveled at excessive speed, with the driver, unable to control the vehicle in a curve, hitting the tree. Reports said that the driver is the only survivor, and is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The local MUP is expected to issue an official statement during the day.
