Serbia take on Austria tonight (20:30 CET) in Vienna in a vital World Cup Group 7 qualifier. Fresh from their 3-0 thrashing of former group leaders Lithuania on Saturday, Rade Antic’s men go into the clash in high spirits. Antic's men in Vienna for key qualifier The same cannot be said of the their hosts tonight at the Ernst Happel stadium, who, after a rousing start to their qualifying campaign with a 3-1 win against France, have since slumped to a 3-1 reversal in Vilnius, and even more alarmingly, a 1-1 draw with the Faroes in Torshavn at the weekend. Antic is expected to make two changes to the side that performed so convincingly on Saturday, reverting to a standard 4-4-2 formation. It means that Marko Pantelic is likely to miss out to make way for midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic, while at the back, Udinese’s Aleksandar Lukovic could be in line for his international debut at the expense of Ivan Obradovic. The Austrians, meanwhile, chastened by their humbling on Saturday, are also expected to make changes with Hoffer likely to be replaced by Aufhausen in the midfield. In tonight’s other Group 7 match, Lithuania will look to get their campaign back on track when they play host to the Faroes. Serbia are also in Under-21 action this evening at the Marakana, with Slobodan Krcmarevic’s team looking to protect a 1-0 first-leg advantage over Denmark in the return leg of their European Championship play-off.
