Nebojsa Vukomanovic, shot in the head during the March 17 unrest in Kosovska Mitrovica, will be discharged from the Kragujevac hospital. He will be sent to Serbia's prime medical institution, the military clinic VMA rehabilitation center in Belgrade, doctors have confirmed today. Kosovo Serb shot on March 17 recovering The Clinical and Hospital Center in Kragujevac director, Miroslav Vujadinovic, said that the team of doctors that treated the patient is very satisfied with his recovery. The serious wounds to the head left Vukomanovic in a coma for a period of time. Vujadinovic told Beta news agency that the patient also managed to survive complications that occurred after the surgery. He added that Vukomanovic's recovery is considered the Kragujevac medical team's great success. An unknown person fired and shot Vukomanovic in the head on the morning of March 17, when UNMIK and KFOR troops stormed the Kosovska Mitrovica courthouse to arrest the Serb judicial workers protesting there. In the riots that ensued, over 150 people were injured, while one Ukrainian policeman died of his wounds the next day.
