State officials from some European countries and Canada will gather for the fifth Croatia Summit in Dubrovnik, but Belgrade officials will not participate. The reason for that, according to unofficial information from Zagreb, is the invitation sent to Kosovo Albanian Prime Minister Hashim Thaci. Serbia snubs Croatia summit The summit, to be held on July 9 and 10 in the seaside resort of Dubrovnik, will focus on Southeastern Europe in the light of global challenges and the region’s integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures, said announcements. French Prime Minister Francois Fillon, who will first meet with Croatian state officials in Zagreb, will take part in the meeting. Although Italy's PM Silvio Berlusconi first announced that he would travel to Dubrovnik, he has in the meantime canceled his participation "due to internal political issues". The Croatian Foreign Ministry has announced that "prime ministers of Montenegro, Slovenia and Kosovo Milo Djukanovic, Borut Pahor and Hashim Thaci will attend the meeting in Dubrovnik". Poland's Donald Tusk, Bulgaria's Boiko Borisov and Albania's Sali Berisha are also expected. Foreign ministers of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia Sven Alkalaj and Antonio Miloshoski are also expected to attend, and organizers also also say high officials from several European countries and Canada, as well as representatives of NATO, the EU and other international organizations will travel to Dubrovnik.
