Two men suspected of war crimes against civilians in Sarajevo have been arrested in Eastern Sarajevo and Bijelina respectively today.

Two men suspected of war crimes against civilians in Sarajevo have been arrested in Eastern Sarajevo and Bijelina respectively today. Radoje Lalovic and Soniboj Skiljevic were arrested on the orders of the Bosnian Prosecutor’s Office and are under investigation by the Office’s war crimes section. As prison administrators between May 1992 and December 1995, the two suspects are believed to have participated in the persecution of the non-Serb population on a discriminatory basis through imprisonment, torture, murder and forced labor. They will be turned over to prosecutors, who will question them, before petitioning the Bosnian courts to remand them in custody, the Bosnia Prosecutor’s Office announced.
