President: Just victory under impossible conditions

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on Monday congratulated citizens of Serbia on the victory achieved during <a href="http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics.php?yyyy=2015&mm=11&dd=09&nav_id=95984" class="text-link" target= "_blank">the vote on Kosovo's UNESCO membership</a>.

Nikolic also congratulated the Serbian government for investing a great deal of diplomatic efforts and "not giving up even when it seemed everything was lost."

"Serbia has many friends in the world, who base their friendship not on the volume of trade and the strength of weapons, but on the behavior of peoples and states. This victory has not been achieved with money but with the respect that the world has for our state and our people. We have proven that when we all work in Serbia's interest, we can achieve the impossible. This is a continuation of the fight for Kosovo and Metohija, and a clear enough signal to everyone that we will never give up on the southern Serbian province," the president concluded.
