Serbia's First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has received newly-appointed UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) Zahir Tanin on Tuesday for the first time.

Dacic receives new UNMIK chief Tanin

As the ministry stated in a release, the officials assessed the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija, UNMIK activities, and the importance of the Mission's further engagement in the key fields for the survival and normal and dignified life of Serbs and members of non-Albanian communities in Kosovo and Metohija.

Dacic underlined the importance of the Mission in implementing the agreements reached in Brussels and the necessity of overcoming Pristina's blockade of the process, adds the release.
